School Days

In an effort to pump out a blog post in five minutes...

I just don't want to forget:

1.Ashton starting Kindergarten; how he ran in the doors (still does) and wouldn't let Cade or Ruby show him the way to his class; the email home from his dear teacher (18-years teaching Kindergarten!) during his first week, "Brandy, Ashton is working on listening and following rules in class. Love Sue." which really means, "Brandy, Ashton is NOT listening and following rules, Love Sue." And my response back, "Dear Sue, Thank you for all that you do. Obviously these are concepts we reinforce at home. If you ever want to talk strategy, it's six-years in the making. Love Brandy."

Ashton admitting on week two that the hardest part about Kindergarten is not getting into trouble.

When we asked Ashton what his teacher calls him because there is another Ashton in the class he said, "Ashton A." -- or Sweetie.

2. Ruby started third grade full of confidence, sweetness and charm. At Open House Night her teacher told me, "Ruby is extremely smart, sharp, kind, and has great outifts."

3. Cade started fifth grade and if I even think about him moving on to Middle School next year I'll give myself heart palpitations. Why does he look so big? Am I his mom or what? These things should NOT be allowed to creep up on me.

I love the updated bios...they are exactly what I would imagine with your little kids. I love Ruby's outfits too...and that is so important when you are in third grade. I hope that you are feeling better, it was nice to hang out this past summer. Hunter includes Ashton, and now Ruby, in his close circle of friends.

I love all the stories! BTW, you were SO FUn to be with. Thanks for making my birthday so extra special. I did a little post about it on my blog. Have I told you how amazingly inspirational you are? IF not, I should, because I've told everyone else!

Thanks for the book recommend. I REALLY wish you lived close by so we could swap (and you could help me fix my house :)
